Kian Santang Muliatama Tbk (RGAS)andPT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) have collaborated to work on gas network construction project with a contract value of ID 29.5 billion.
The project is located in Central Java and Yogyakarta, and will take 2 years to be completed. “This project is our initial phase of synergy with PGN to accelerate gas network construction for the people,” added Edy Nurhamid Amin, President Director of RGAS in the information disclosure.
Meanwhile, Harry Budi Sidarta, Director of Infrastructure and Technology of PGAS, said that the company is confident that this project will expedite the accomplishment of National Medium Term Construction Plan target of 2.5 million gas networks. “There have been a total 1 million connections installed as of now,” he said.
Sidarta further mentioned that the project will cover the construction of gas network spanning 60 kilometres, targeting 6,700 houses in Yogyakarta and Semarang. “PGN is currently making an approach to Yogyakarta Regional Government to extend household gas network in said area,” added Sidarta.
