Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI), through its subsidiary, PT Integrasi Jaringan Ekosistem (Weave), has signed a partnership agreement with 50 internet service providers (ISPs) to provide internet infrastructure for 25 million household internet users.
Yune Marketatmo, CEO of WIFI, mentioned that this strategic partnership is a part of the company’s commitment in reinforcing digital ecosystem in Indonesia.
“With the support of over 50 local ISPs and the advanced Weave infrastructure that we own, we are optimistic that this collaboration could generate high-quality internet connectivity to 25 million houses in Java, as well as the development outside Java,” Marketatmo explained in the official statement.
Until now, WIFI has been operating fibre optic backbone spanning 7 thousand kilometres across railway track and other routes in Java Island. In addition, the company has invested to establish a bandwidth with capacity set to a maximum of 64 Gbps.
Furthermore, WIFI has also constructed and operated 58 edge data centres (EDC) scattered in numerous cities across Java Island to support cloud computing development.
Now, WIFI’s EDCs have been utilised by several ISPs for colocation purposes and Content Delivery Network solution for several cloud service providers.
Meanwhile, Hermansjah Haryono, Preident Director of Weave, said that this partnership with ISPs is aimed to provide reliable and affordable internet services for 25 million households.
