Buyung Poetra Sembada Tbk (HOKI), a premium rice manufacturer and distributor debuted on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2017, is now eyeing market opportunity arising from high demand for healthy rice through its Dailymeal products.
Budiman Susilo, Director of HOKI, said that Dailymeal is indeed designed to be able to generate healthier quality of life for Indonesian people. This rice product is claimed to have lower glycaemic index, and according to Susilo, does not only benefit those with diabetes.
“Thus, the company will focus on capturing the ever-expanding market potential of healthy food products,” added Susilo.
As of now, Dailymeal products manufactured by HOKI are available in many variants, including maize-based rice, cassava rice, and brown rice. These products are distributed by its subsidiary, PT Hoki Distribusi Niaga (HDN).
Until the end of the first half of 24, Dailymeal products’ sales reportedly increased 145% year-on-year (yoy), surpassing its meagre sales target of 10% for Dailymeal products.
“Therefore, we hope that this rapid performance growth will continue to take place,” said Susilo. (KR/ZH)
