Foreign buying volume rises, net foreign volume surplus to 712.63 million shares

JAKARTA - Foreign buying volume on Wednesday, October 2, increased significantly, reaching 6.15 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales volume totaled just 5.44 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign volume surplus of approximately 712.63 million shares. The purchase of shares in the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) amounted to 2.12 billion shares with a net volume of 808.16 million shares, then started the share trading list.

In addition, 514.50 million shares of mineral mining business PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) were purchased, for a net volume of 217.14 million shares. Shares of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), which operates in the oil and natural gas exploration and production sector, were then purchased for 92.04 million shares, with a net volume of 76.52 million shares, followed by the purchase of 159.83 million shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), with a net volume of 70.16 million shares. The last stock on the top buy list was of the precious metals mining business PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), which were purchased for 98.18 million shares with a net volume of 67.42 million.

On the other hand, foreign investors also sold shares, starting with selling 205.97 million shares of the general mining contractor services company PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) and resulting in a net volume of -153.25 million shares. In the energy resources infrastructure sector, about 105.97 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) were sold, for a net volume of -102.98 million shares. Foreign investors also sold shares in two state-owned companies: PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) (152.61 million shares) in the banking sector and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) (109.63 million shares) in the telecommunications sector. Following these trades, the net volume of BBRIwas -87.55 million shares, while that of TLKM was -42.89 million shares. At the end of the list, 109.63 million shares of real estate development business PT Wulandari Bangun Laksana Tbk (BSBK) were sold, for a net volume of -46.82 million shares. (KD)
