JAKARTA - Foreign investors upped their share-buying activities on Monday, October 14, totaling 4.69 billion shares. The digital corporation PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the largest share bought for around 47% of the overall foreign purchase volume, or 2.23 billion shares, with a net volume of 373.02 million shares. The foreign sales volume stood at 4.20 billion shares. The discrepancy between purchasing and selling volumes resulted in a net foreign volume surplus of 497.49 million shares.
Foreign investors then resumed their share purchase transaction by purchasing 453.90 million shares of coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), for a total of 245.97 million shares. Shares of the tin mining company PT Timah Tbk (TINS) were purchased for 64.69 million shares, with a net volume of 54.17 million shares, followed by the purchase of 70.43 million shares of the precious metal mining company PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), with a net volume of 52.20 million shares. Apart from that, 67.39 million shares of PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI), which works in the advertising services industry, were purchased, with a net volume of 47.52 million shares.
Meanwhile, shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA)were sold for 228.58 million shares, and the net volume was -137.96 million shares. In the property sector, foreign investors sold 52.14 million shares of PT Alam Sutera Realty Tbk (ASRI) with a net volume of -37.11 million shares and 65.31 million shares of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR) with a net volume of -33.48 million shares. Around 103.01 million shares of the hotel and resort management company PT MNC Land Tbk (KPIG) were also sold, and the net volume was -35.90 million shares. Finally, shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) in the banking sector were sold for 81.80 million, with a net volume of -33.77 million shares. (KD)
