Reaching new peak, yet JCI slipped again nearing mid-day

JAKARTA – Jakarta Stock Price Composite Index (JCI) arrived at 7,778.44 at 11.30 AM WIB nearing the first closing bell today (23/10), although it managed to reach new height at 7,800.02 earlier.

Monitoring the board, the index only shifted rapidly in the morning before weakening down to 7,770.09 in the middle of the morning session. This trend replicated JCI’s yesterday’s (22/10) morning session.

Other indices also weakened during the morning session, such as LQ45 that slipped 0.21% to 952.408, IDX30 down 0.30% to 491.506, IDX80 down 0.22% to 137.023, and IDXESGL down 0.30% to 168.678.

Some stocks were seen corrected, affected by the slippage, including PT Mulia Boga Raya Tbk (KEJU), PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR), PT Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk (KAEF), PT Kalber Farma Tbk (KLBF), PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT).

Meanwhile, other stocks gained strides, such as PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO), PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk (TSPC), PT Mayora Indah Tbk (MYOR), and PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF). (LK/ZH)
