JAKARTA - On Monday, December 9, PT Adaro Strategic Investments made the decision to purchase about 3.20 billion shares ofPT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (AADI)so as to become a new shareholder.
Adaro Strategic now officially owns 24.05% of the thermal coalparent companys shares through BUT Deutsche Bank AG and five more securities firms.
In the meantime,PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk,AADIs controller,actually released 5.52 billion shares, reducing its shareholding from 90% to just 11.18%.
Also, an estimated 135.50 million shares ofPT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an energy infrastructure company, were still being stockpiled by CGS International Securities Singapore Pte Ltd.PT Tancorp Investama Mulia wasstill purchasing shares ofPT Superior Prima Sukses Tbk (BLES), a manufacturer of lightweight brick and mortar cement, this time in a volume of forty million shares.
The majority shareholder ofPT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA),PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk, subsequently decided to purchase 37 million shares in the company that engages in the multimedia and entertainment sector. Following this, PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, the controller of the financial services firmPT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), acquired 6.83 million moreshares.
However,PT Hotel Fitra International Tbk (FITT), a company involved in hotel and tourism management, saw the sale of 50 million shares by individual investor Jon Fieris. This transaction was completed via PT KGI Sekuritas Indonesia.
Following that,Prinsep Management Limitedsold 10.3 million shares of palm oil producerPT FAP Agri Tbk, while HSBC-Fund SVS A/C Chengdong Investment Corp-Self reduced its holdings in mining holding firmPT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI)by over 12 million shares.
Lastly, by relinquishing 4 million shares, Hendra Kusuma Kargito decreased his ownership stake inPT Boston Furniture Industries Tbk (SOFA)to 6%. The issuer itself is a producer of high-end furniture under the Blackwood name. (KD)
