Export is contracted 6.65% to USD 20.84 billion in June 2024
JAKARTA – Statistics Indonesia (lit. Badan Pusat Statistik/BPS) booked total export of USD 20.84 billion in June 2024, down 6.65% from May 2024 of USD 22.32 billion. Compared to June 2023’s export, however, it grew 1.17% year-on-year (yoy) to USD 20.59 billion.
Sarpono, Director of Distribution Statistics of BPS, mentioned that oil and gas export reached USD 1.23 billion, and non-oil and gas, USD 19.60 billion. Crude oil export brought in USD 220.4 million, oil products USD 167.4 million, and natural gas USD 4.37 million.
For comparison, in May 2024, oil and gas export was USD 1.41 billion, in which crude oil contributed USD 214 million, followed by oil products of USD 376.8 million, and natural gas of USD 828.3 million.
Then, for another comparison, in June 2023, oil and gas contribution was USD 1.25 billion, and non-oil and gas contribution was USD 19.33 billion. Crude oil export turned in USD 181.3 million at that time, followed by oil products of USD 424.1 million and natural gas of USD 654.3 million.
In the meantime, total export from the beginning of 2024 to June 2024 (year-to-date) reportedly arrived at USD 125.08 billion, consisting of oil and gas export of USD 7.90 billion and non-oil and gas export of USD 117.18 billion. (LK/ZH)
