Yen Retreats After BoJ Rate Decision

At 11:55 pm ET in the early Asian session on Wednesday, the Bank of Japan announced its monetary policy decision to raise interest rate around 0.25%.

After the BoJ rate decision, the yen retreated against its major rivals.

As of 12:01 am ET, the yen was trading at 166.56 against the euro, 197.62 against the pound, 174.24 against the Swiss franc and 153.59 against the U.S. dollar.
