Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), another company owned by Prajogo Pangestu, will push forward the agenda of debuting its subsidiary engaged in the infrastructure investment sector, PT Chandra Daya Investasi (CDI), in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
Suryando, Director of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, mentioned that business diversification of TPIA is currently being focused in the infrastructure sector. “We believe that this business line (CDI) is doing well,” added Suryando.
Furthermore, Suryandi said that the infrastructure sector will then drive organic growth of TPIA’s core business, which is petrochemical industry. “For example, electricity; which factory does not need electricity?” he added.
For the record, as of now, CDI is managing one of two combined cycle power plants (gas and steam turbine) in Indonesia. In addition, CDI also manages a joint venture in the green power plant sector with a capacity totalling 200 megawatts (MW).
In the future, Suryandi said that CDI will not only focus on power plant to support petrochemical industry. “We will also expand to other businesses, let’s say solar panels,” he stated. (KR/ZH)
