Widodo Makmur Unggas faces PKPU lawsuit against 2 creditors

Widodo Makmur Unggas Tbk (WMUU), an integrated farm company, has received a Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation (lit. Penundaan Kewajiban Pembayaran Utang/PKPU) claim issued through Central Jakarta Commercial Court.

The lawsuit had been received and ruled during Central Jakarta Commercial Court session on July 11, 2024. “PKPU lawsuit directed to WMUU had been received by the panel,” said Wahyu Andi Susilo, Director of Finance of WMUU, in this official disclosure.

The creditors filing the PKPU lawsuit are PT Sarana Steel Engineering and PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia. “The company is under temporary PKPU status and is writing a peace agreement proposal to be stated during the next court session or creditors’ meeting,” added Susilo. “Hopefully, peace agreement proposal could be concluded soon and homologated.”

Although being sued by two creditors, Susilo claimed that operational activities of the company are still carried out as usual. “Until now, operational activities are still running,” he added. (KR/ZH)
