MPX Logistics International Tbk (MPXL), a logistics and transportation company, has obtained a new contract from PT Krakatau Semen Indonesia (KSI).
James S. Chandra, Corporate Secretary of MPXL, confirmed that the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KSI. In said contract, the company is set to transport Ground Granulated Blast Furnance Slag (GGBFS) produced by KSI.
“This cooperation agreement will be effective for 5 years, from August 23, 2024, to August 22, 2029. With total transport capacity of 690 thousand tons per year,” said Chandra in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange today (23/8).
The contract value obtained by MPXL is not publicly disclosed. However, Chandra remained optimistic that this contract will generate positive impact on its revenue performance in the future.
In today’s session, MPXL saw 1 point decline, or down 0.88% to IDR 113 per share. However, since the beginning of this year, its stock has shifted down 137 points or 54.80%. (KR/ZH)
