Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMFI), a subsidiary of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA), will increase its capital with pre-emptive rights, also known as rights issue.
The number of shares that will be issued by GMFI in this corporate action is 11.73 million shares, or qual to 41.57% of total issued and paid-up capital post-rights-issue.
In the rights issue, GIAA, as the controlling shareholder of GMF, owning 89.1% of the shares, will take over the entire issued rights through asset-based payment (inbreng scheme). Other investors, however, will pay in cash.
The management of GMFI believes that inbreng scheme initiated by GIAA will improve GMFI’s equity, as fixed assets that will be channelled to GIAA to GMFI will include hangar and supporting facilities worth IDR 418.29 billion.
On October 16, 2024, GMFI will ask for approval from shareholders to conduct its rights issue. (KR/ZH)
