Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN), an agricultural product manufacturer listed under Indeks Tempo-IDNFinancials 52 (Indeks52), booked net profit of IDR 1.77 trillion in the first half of 2024.
Said number is 28% year-on-year (yoy) higher than the record seen in the same period last year, in which the company reported net profit of IDR 1.38 trillion.
According to the recently released financial report, CPIN’s net profit in H1 2024 is in line with its revenue that reached IDR 32.96 trillion after scoring 6.7% yoy increase from IDR 30.89 trillion seen in H1 2023.
Broiler chicken sales remained as the primary contributor of CPIN’s revenue in H1 2024, generating IDR 17.58 trillion of sales. Then, animal feeds’ sales reportedly reached IDR 7.69 trillion, followed by day-old chicks’ sales of IDR 6.03 trillion, and others of IDR 648.6 billion.
For the record, CPIN is now listed in three out of four categories of Indeks52, namely Main Index, High Dividend, and Big Market Cap. The selection of categories is made based on an evaluation by the committee regarding the average dividend yield and market cap size of issuers amongst their industry peers. (KR/ZH)
