Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (MIKA) allocates capital expenditure (capex) budget of IDR 1 trillion this year, but the realisation until H1 2024 only reached 37.9%.
Aditya Widjaja, Investor Relations of MIKA, mentioned that this year’s capex will be focused on the construction of hospital. Then, another portion will be allocated to acquisition of more updated medical devices and rejuvenation of existing ones.
“We have 3 [new] ongoing hospital projects. Then, our existing hospital will add 100-200 more beds this year,” added Widjaja during the Public Expose Live 2024 of MIKA today (30/8).
Meanwhile, Joyce Handajani, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of MIKA, further mentioned that the new hospital is included as one of the company’s strategies in improving its business performance. On average, said Joyce, the company always establishes 2 new hospital each year.
“This is the main strategy of MIKA’s growth, aside from acquisition strategy,” added Handajani.
According to IDNFinancials data, MIKA booked revenue of IDR 1.21 trillion in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024. Its revenue grew 18.43% year-on-year (yoy), while the net profit soared 40.09% yoy to IDR 331.65 billion. (KR/ZH)
